^^ is Hyprul, and I think with his experience, he'd notice something like that as well. Just taking a guess, that you deleted his comment to protect yourself? I don't want to accuse though.

I agree with Faz.

If Chris noticed this during inspection, then he cheated by starting the solve. If Chris didn't notice it (very unlikely; surely he'd also notice that his entire solution is the same), he clearly knows if he's deleting comments, and he's doing the wrong thing by not reporting the mistake.

"If". And I think it's usually best to do the solve anyway. At Aus Nats, doing Sq1 I had the same cubeshape, and it looked very similar. (Dene was at the scrambling table a few metres away) and I held up the sq1 and said I think I have the same scramble. He said it had the same cubeshape, but by that time my inspection was pretty much gone :P
I really don't think it would be possible, not to notice, after having the identical solution.

I didn't notice the solves were the same, I guess I was so caught up in the fact that I was completely demolishing my old average, and even current at home averages, that I didn't even consider it. Well I apologize, and if the WCA people want to take my average out then that is perfectly fine. Sad to see the average go, but if not noticing the same scramble condones that then by all means make it happen.

I'd rather play by the rules than have something that is against them. If my average is illegitimate because of this, I'd rather not be considered a cheater.

Also, if I knew I was cheating why would I have posted the video for all to see? I could have easily just never posted it and went along my merry way. Especially with something that obvious. It doesn't make sense to me. It would be like robbing a store and filming yourself, then sending it to the police. Heh, by posting my video on YT and the forums I knew I was going to have a bunch of eyes watching it.

As for removing comments, yes I do have a tendancy to remove comments, but whenever a comment shows "comment removed," that only shows when someone deletes their own comment. If the owner of the video removes a comment, it is gone completely. That was introduced back when users were given the privilege to remove their comments (it was never an option before). On one of my videos, the at home average of 12 I did recently, I removed a shiz ton of comments because I didn't feel like responding to all these dumb comments. Yes, I shouldn't have deleted them, but I feel proud that I just deleted them instead of being a douche about them all, if that makes sense.

What I was trying to say by that, is that when you look at that video, the comments I removed (probably up to 20 comments or so) they are just completely gone, no "comment removed" is shown there. This is to give an easy and recent example of the difference between user deletions and video owner deletions. I believe the comment by cardiologist (Joey) is even still up there, where if I was trying to hide something it would have been deleted a long time ago.

It would be a shame to see it go, but I think your staus in the community should be an important factor. You're right, you don't want to labelled a cheater.

Just remember though, as much of a shame as it would be to lose this avg, you know that you are capable of doing it, and you will definately get it again soon.
