dyan zanchi

So today I tried to open my Dyan Zanchi cube and remove the washers as I saw in a Vid , now as I have done all the cores , they've lost their springy feeling . Is this ok? Btw , it was a pre assembled one. [This is my first post so pls be nice :P]
