I keep hearing the word sune being thrown around...

only like the best oll ever....it is most used for rotating 3 corners in the same direction. since it just uses 2 layers it preserves corner permutation, and also cycles edges. (R U R' U, R U2 R').....I use it forward, backwards, upside down and mirrored, whatever is most convenient at the time because it is so simple. Also through in a R' U' R U after the comma to make it a double sune.

I keep hearing of this site called google...

Ah don't be so mean. From his perspective, you think, "I have no idea what this means how could I find out? I know, I'll ask all the friendly people on the speedsolving forums, they're really nice and cool and they'll know the answer!!"

Sune is the "fish" OLL.

Sune, like everyone else has explained, is a basic orienting the last layer corners algorithm. The most commonly used algorithm for Sune is (R U R' U R U2' R'). Some people use different algorithms but almost everyone uses the one above.

Sune is sometimes called the "Fish" pattern because it sort of looks like a fish.

There is also Anti-Sune, which looks exactly like Sune look up from the U Face but it is different when looking at the top layer. I guess it's called Anti-Fish?
A commonly used algorithm for Anti-Sune is (R U2 R' U' R U' R')

Ha! I actually did the sune before I knew it was called the sune! I like it, but it is boring to do too much. I just got an average of 1.92 with a best of 1.56 on a stiff pyraminx today! I average about 1.6 on a diy 3x3 cube. I don't know why I can't turn fast on 3x3 cube and better on odd shaped puzzles relatively to others in proportion.

lol I use "sune" in like nearly all my solves anyway (2 step OLL)
