    These forums are degrading

Jon White: I'm sorry if you felt like I ignored your post- I was referring to something slightly different from you, I think. I don't see "clans" per se, but I see groups of people with similar opinions (sometimes valid, sometimes not) repping each other constantly. This was also one of a couple...

    These forums are degrading

IMO, karma and reputation and other similar forum functions are kind of meaningless. On most other forums, nearly everyone has insane amounts of positive reputation, even if they're not really good posters at all. Plus you have the issues of people begging for reputation, people ganging together...

    COLL/EPLL vs. OLL/PLL

Whether or not this is what he meant, what he said is still true in a sense- even if you don't use the exact same algs, mastering COLL not only gives you experience recognizing all other types of CxLL, but does also give you a lot of free / very algs. Also, with regard to the other thing Blake...

is there a program to solve the seven cube

Except if she's really a cuber, then she's probably been deprived of opportunity to talk to real people about cubes, which will mean that she'll want to talk to the OP about solving and stuff. This is the easiest short-term solution, but not only puts him in an awkward situation if she asks him...

is there a program to solve the seven cube

    Yes, I would also suggest starting with a 3 x 3. Then learn to solve a 4 x 4. After you've learned to solve a 4 x 4, go right to 7 x 7. You'll be all set. Also:

    COLL/EPLL vs. OLL/PLL

COLL solves the corners of the last layer while preserving the orientation of the edges. That means that the only time COLL completes OLL is when the LL edges are already oriented. In pure Fridrich, this happens relatively, but is purely luck. Some CFOP users learn COLL as a "backup plan", which...

[Help Thread] ZZ and ZB Discussion

Yeah, a lot of the time I find that using M moves can help with the execution of EO. For instance, when DF, UL, UR, and RB are all misoriented, sometimes I'll just do an x' during inspection, and then perform EO as M' U F. Again, like you said, it depends on the line pieces, but yeah I agree M...
