    Pretty Patterns cube website gone?!?

Weird... maybe they were switching to a new hosting provider or something, and by blind chance it hadn't finished updating for me and maggot when I checked it back there. Working for me now too. Although it'd still be nice if I could back it up anyway :P

    Pretty Patterns cube website gone?!?

It seems to be this way for me, I discover or am shown a really interesting webpage, and just about immediately after I start to enjoy it, the website decides not to exist any more. Long story short, someone on this board posted a link to the Pretty Patterns webpage (which would normally be...

Your thoughts on the apple cubes

I'm curious... IS there even colours (and by colours, I mean are the sides differentiated somehow, different depths like a mirror cube or something), or is there only top, bottom, and all of the sides are the same?

How Many Competions have you been to?

None. There's no competitions that come within like... 2000 kilometers of Manitoba :(.

    Looking for smallest possible 3x3

Wow... that is ludicrously small. I'm really damn tempted to get that... heck, I still might just because. I'd have to be careful though... it'd end up getting lost in my pocket or something. That thing's small enough to accidentally swallow! Just... wow. Although, you mention it's made...

    4x4 Corner Parity?

The one I use is very similar, but that's the only one I'm aware of. Mine's r2 U2 r2 U2 u2 r2 u2. I found it really easy to remember though in general, since all turns are 180 degrees.

    Looking for smallest possible 3x3

THAT'S the maru one. I'll definitely order one of those unless someone knows of a smaller cube to avoid the whole corner-jab thing :P

    Looking for smallest possible 3x3

I'm wondering what the smallest commercially available 3x3 is (not a custom-made thing that's not for sale). I tend to always have a Rubik's Cube with me just because I like to mess with it while waiting, and have always just used one of the Rubik's brand mini cubes. Said Rubik's mini cube...

    Lubix Ultimate Disgraced by "Cuber"

Didn't want to read through 6 pages of comments, but I felt I needed to put in my two cents, which I'm sure have been put in somewhere in the middle pages that I missed reading: Dude man... it's a cube. I'm sure it's awesome indeed if the current fastest cuber in the world uses it, but...

4x4x4 edge parity - is there a shorter alg that doesn't preserve corners?

YES! At long last, I've finally found a memorization method that works for me to at least memorize the 15 move algorithm (r2 B2 U2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 F2 r F2 l' B2 r2). I kept fighting with it and giving up here and there for the past while, but today during a slow period at work, I somehow...

4x4x4 edge parity - is there a shorter alg that doesn't preserve corners?

That's even more turns and memorization than the 15-move algorithm :P. I'm still a beginner, and not good with memorizing big algorithms here :(. Long-winded is the way I want to figure out, at the bare minimum so I can at least do a 4x4x4 without having to pull that piece of paper with the...

    NEW WR BLD 3X3 30.90''

Same here. I was thinking 'now I KNOW that the world record is a helluva lot less than 30 seconds'. Aaaand then I saw the BLD. That was pretty insane though. Only a little bit of looking, and then he was turning it like he barely had to think about what he was doing.

4x4x4 edge parity - is there a shorter alg that doesn't preserve corners?

Whup, for the title, I meant to put edge-pair locations, not corners... since the parity can be spotted before even starting corners (I'm still doing a beginner method that does corners last). Ok, first up, I'm still fairly new to cubing, and albeit I wouldn't mind going faster, I'm not...

    God's number proven at 20

This is awesome. Although on the cube20 site, we can't use the numbers at the bottom to find the 'average' number of moves needed to solve, since they stated on the page that they didn't "optimally" solve each position, just found a solution of 20 or less. But yeah... I'm surprised there's...

Found a Rubik's Cube shirt for sale

Completely forgot about the melting cube shirt on ThinkGeek... saw that there quite a while ago, but it's been about 6 months since I last ordered anything. I'll have to mental note that next time I find some christmas presents on that site or whatnot. I was hoping to get a Mirror Cube from...

Found a Rubik's Cube shirt for sale

At HMV of all places! In either case, once my wife pointed it out to me, I had to get it. Figured I'd snap a picture and show the forum... this shirt might be available in HMV near your area too. I like it, anyway... really like the simple design and colour. Not outrageously bright...

Turning the cube into part of a puzzle - need suggestions

Yeah, I figured it's possible someone could just take a picture of all the faces and then kinda... put it together at home in that manner. Although at that point, it'd almost be faster to just solve it, or failing that go back with someone who can :P. I haven't had a chance to try out any...

Turning the cube into part of a puzzle - need suggestions

I wasn't entirely sure what forum to post this is, but going off the descriptions of the forums, this seemed to be the best bet. In either case, to make a long story short, I'm trying to find the best way to put a set of coordinates onto a Rubik's Cube, so that it needs to be solved in order...

    Improving a Rubik's Cube keychain

Huh, never even heard of that. Given it's 3cm across, that's apparently identical to the size of this one. As well, it's white plastic, which I prefer for some reason. I'm also intrigued by the fact that their site has what the Rubik's Wiki claims is a fairly decent 2x2. The only 2x2 I...
