YJ has produced great budget cubes, and great cubes in general. Like literally, like these days (at least for the MGC line), they've just been smashing the best cubes out of the water for every single release. Like, just look at their 6x6. Everyone uses it. But there's one aspect of cubes YJ...

I wanted to see what CFOP step I was the worst at, and it turned out to be PLL. So I came up with a practice drill to practice it: In csTimer, set the "Multi-phase" option to 2, because we will record 2 times at once. Do the scramble, and solve F2L (or, if you don't use full OLL, solve F2L +...

MBLD only has a single world record, so it's 33.

Max now has the 4x4 single world record as well. This means he now has 11 WCA world records currently held. It's just insane, to put that into perspective, there ARE only 33 WRs tracked by the WCA. He literally has a THIRD of all the world records, single and average, currently held by the WCA...

Puzzle Positions Maximum moves to solve optimally Difficulty 3x3 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 20 Around the middle of the line 1x2x2 6 3 Stupidly easy There must be some point in between above which beginners would get stuck, but below which beginners could figure out by either putting...

I mean...do you know how many world records he currently holds? Right! Zero.

It has gone back up! Apparently there's this new section about merch, so that's probably why it went down :)

So I wanted to look around the WCA website, and it appears to be down. Is it just me? If it's not did it just decide to go down like all websites do sometimes, or did the WCA intentionally do this to make some major changes or something like that? Edit: (Just noticed Max Park broke the 3x3 WR...

Yeah some people say it's the 2x2x3 (including csTimer btw), others say it's the 2x2x4 (like Rubik's). Technically, all the 2x2xN puzzles are tower cubes

I already posted about my speedsolving averages, so I thought I'd also post about my puzzle collection. Sorry if this is in the wrong category, most people are posting this kind of stuff in video gallery, but this is not a video so I'm posting it here. Main Speedcubes: 3x3: GAN 11M Duo, it's...

Yeah kinda. The reason I didn't make it one is because I already have one. I have already mentioned it earlier in the thread, but here it is: https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/my-intro.85556/

Yeah definitely. One of my ultimate goals would be to be able to do every single WCA event. I think I will improve more in 3BLD first though (get more successes, learn an intermediate method like M2, etc).

By "more detailed" I mean more detailed than my member intro: https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/my-intro.85556/ Also, I need help: https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/one-answer-wca-competition-and-regulations-question-thread.50221/page-74#post-1460286

Depends on what you mean. The first time I got into cubing was 2 or 3 years ago, but I just considered it a skill, not a main hobby of mine. I wasn't into speedsolving at all, and the only puzzles I could solve were a 3x3, 2x2 and 4x4. A few months later, I quit. I even forgot how to solve a...

Me (uses RUFy V perm): 😥 (also, you can argue that the cube rotation also blends with the next move there)

3x3: I use the GAN 11M Duo. I chose it because at the time I got it the GAN 11M Pro was GAN's flagship cube, and I thought the Duo was just a cheaper alternative which is basically the same. I use CFOP with white/yellow cross, intermediate F2L, 2-look OLL and full PLL. I average 35 seconds. 2x2...

Yeah I agree. I learned PLL way slower than 2 algs a day. I just put it in there because I was confused wether he meant "beginner"/"intermediate cfop" or "beginner/intermediate" cfop. Although for some reason with F2L, 4LLL and even some little things like inserting into the back, I still...

For some reason 5x5s are fragile. (oh this is the same mgc 5x5 as before) Here's the previous part in case you haven't seen it: https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/one-answer-wca-competition-and-regulations-question-thread.50221/page-74#post-1458626

I'm only sub-40 but I think I can give you some tips: The most important thing to learn after the beginner method is F2L. It makes up most of the solve. You'll initially be slower, but after some practice this should make you WAY faster. If you already know that, learn 4 look last layer. It's...

DGCUBES! WOW! Thanks for the tips, they helped me a lot. It still feels unreal that you actually replied to me!
