    One Answer Question Hardware Thread

Thanks I'll look into those. I'm buying an aurora anyway since it was my last main, so I found that confusion funny.

    One Answer Question Hardware Thread

I'm planning on getting back into cubing, but I've been out of it since my main 3x3s broke and the stickers melted off most of my mains in my cube bag about a year ago. What are the three most popular 3x3s at the moment?

    Fear of quitting?

To be honest I'm on the verge of quitting now. I practice for maybe 30 minutes every two weeks now if anything. I haven't improved my times and haven't had a sub 10 single in over a year now. To be honest I do fear outright quitting if not solely due to the fact that I've invested so much time...

    Dollar General Cube

Don't waste your time. I went through about 20 of these kinds of cubes in high school just trying to make them halfway decent, nothing helps.

Shengshou Aurora is a super fast cube

It's vastly underrated and is my favorite cube, but digging up old threads is preferred, especially when the cube's been on the market for awhile.

    Reduction for Roux

This is the closest thing I've seen. I've only seen one person use something like it with relative success but I can't remember who it was off the top of my head.

    [Unofficial] 7.43 3x3 avg5

This is ridiculously good, but If anything transition to the second F2L pair seemed awkward on a few of them.

How fast were you guys after one year of speedsolving?

I remember getting my first Sub-20 average of 5 a little over a year after I learned how to solve the cube. Keep in mind I learned to solve to beat a friend in a race so I was speedcubing from the start (I never beat him but I'm definitely the faster one now).
  15. ZamHalen

Which cube revolutionized speedcubing the most?

Easily the Guhong. Everything now is essentially just improving upon it's ideas and it was the cube used by a large majority of the first big wave of sub-10 average cubers shortly after it came out.

    Your own personal algs

I guess I'll show off this one since the source I had for it doesn't exist anymore. S R' U' R U R U R U' R' S' I love executing this but it's so rare, I think this OLL has only appeared twice for me this year, one of which occuring during OH at Remember the Alamo. Needless to say, it isn't...

    1.5 look OLL/PLL?

I made a video about it when I was a noob. It was not well received, I now understand why.

    NL 4x4 PB with my Dayan+mf8 (suprisingly). I guess that's what happens when that quick average of 5 becomes a 27 solve session. 58.64 D2 r2 R U' D L2 U2 F2 L B U B2 U L2 f2 B u F' U2 L' r2 f2 F B r' R' L f L2 f' F' U2 L U2 D B' u2 D r' F
