Something that happened to me today

Sorry to read this... I'm sure your father wants the best for you and maybe he thinks you are just doing too much of it. I don't think it is a good idea to tell him that but I think it is much better to cube than to scroll for hours on stupid social networks! You are: - learning stuff -...

    [WR2] Yang Pin Xiu 2.74 3x3 Single

Fantastic! What a shame for him that it did not occur at least one day before Yuanyi's new WR 👏😬

    The CEOR Example Solve Thread

Hehe that indeed does the trick, even if it feels unnatural at first. Yeah I can then follow your way of thinking afterwards, makes sense 👌🏼

    The CEOR Example Solve Thread

Hahaha, between Renslay's color scheme and steps order (FB before CP?! 😮) and DDDDavid building FB in front 🤯, this is getting hard for me to follow! Anyway congrats guys, great job!

I use the YruRU tracing method, but in order to know the corner to swap I use MAYT (Mike's Advanced YruRU Tracing), which I think is the simplest/fastest method, but first you have to grasp the concept of the YruRU circlets. I had to watch several times Cuberstache's video about YruRU to finally...

    The CEOR Example Solve Thread

Hehe so cool! I learned Roux from Kian's videos, not too sure if I would have succeeded by using Gilles' website. It is clear somehow but a bit complicated especially comparing with Kian's work.

Nice one! Hard to follow for me as you are using white as a side color (as does Ulrik btw, one of the fastest solver with this method, "2012BRED01") whereas it seems more frequent to use white/yellow as top or bottom. And I don't think one can change after practicing one way or the other 😉

Thank you for replying! This looks very interesting, I will take a look later. The solve is very cool 👌

Robot solving the cube with two hands

"Rubik’s Cube solving has been a long-standing challenging benchmark for robotic manipulation. The task requires fine-grained control under the geometric and kinematic constraints imposed by the cube itself. Prior state-of-the-art is still the single-handed solver from OpenAI’ in 2019. For the...

Is Roux the best method for OH?

Team YruRU/CEOR here too, table abuse is not my thing but cubing in public transport is 😁

How should I go about learning 3-style

Hi, not sure if that could be helpful for you but it has been for me (and it is my favorite post on this forum): https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/intuitive-3-style-as-a-beginner-blind-method.77200/

    Theoretical [number]-style blindfolded solving methods

Regarding 5-style, I was wondering this basic question: not sure if this could be useful but what about using setup moves for 5-style comms? Like it is done for Eka/Orozco, which are just easy 3-style sets and setup moves. I suppose it is faster to use 2 comms instead of setting up and do 1 big...

    Theoretical [number]-style blindfolded solving methods

You are right, I may have overreacted to what felt to me like an unnecessary request to someone who only asked a question and did not have the whole context of the 5-style history on this forum (and still does not btw). @abunickabhi Maybe you did not want to "bring back the heat" here, I can...

    Theoretical [number]-style blindfolded solving methods

I don't understand how you dare to post such a message, asking someone not to ask (deleting the post is the same) a question about cubing, especially after so many years creating posts and updates about 5-style. As far as I know, no moderator asked you to delete your messages about it. Of...

    CEOR color neutrality

Hi guys, I am currently practicing a new method (for me) for OH: YruRU/CEOR (which I really like btw!), and even if my times are slow mostly due to my turning (ahem, 40s), I tried to practice another color than the one I am used to (orange/white), the goal being to be x2y but starting with y2...

    Your favourite 3x3?

Not sure what that means. Of course I totally understand that people can have different opinions, for example I would not say that I don't like the Moyu v11 but it feels to me like a TV4, cubes without "personality/feel", certainly worthy for fast speedcubers but I'm not one ;) And recently I...
