Whoopsies, saw the wrong timestamp  (I look really stupid now). Although, brododragon does have a point.

The New Method / Substep / Concept Idea Thread

This thread has kinda died... so here's something to talk about: Super floppy cube 1-look method? (Regular floppy cube 1-look is easy)

Petrus is like, so dead now.

Who else here uses Petrus on 2x2?

What would your method be if you had to switch now.

    Double-square -> Roux -> Petrus -> Waterman -> ZZ -> Corners-first -> Quit cubing (I will never surrender to CFOP!)

[Help Thread] Disassembly and Assembly Thread

Sorry if I was unclear, I meant physically remove the center caps and put them back on in the positions I listed.

[Help Thread] Disassembly and Assembly Thread

Given you can't solve a cube, I'm not sure if will help. The simplest way to solve your problem is to arrange the center caps in the following manner: Yellow on top White on bottom Red on left Orange on right Green in front Blue in back Make sure the other pieces line up with those colors too...

What is the most efficient method out there?

2 moves max 1 Move (HTM): COLL on a 1x1x2 :) (You never said what puzzle the method had to be for...)

The New Method / Substep / Concept Idea Thread

Okay, sorry to break up the great Petrus-W work but I want to put all the changes to my method (now christened the "Double-Square" method) in one place. So, here we go: As of now, there are two branches of the method: A speedsolving (pro) method and an intermediate method. Speedsolving...

I haven't done much 3x3 recently, I've been focusing more on puzzle designing. But yes, I do.

Wow, I feel like history has just been made. The wiki page makes Petrus-W seem really official! Which brings me to another point... I need a name for my method.

I'll be a little less cruel: try developing a square-1 full blind method. Honestly, I'm not sure if its possible but I'd love to see it if it is.

The New Method / Substep / Concept Idea Thread

Okay, I've gotten "Don't insert an oriented edge" a few times now. I clearly must not be familiar with EO (I'm a square-1 cuber and only got into 3x3 recently). Suppose the edge in that slot is oriented incorrectly. What would I do to make it correct? Would I do that before or during the EO...

Agreed. Maybe we could change the subject a bit... like more suggestions for my method!
  17. fuzzballcat

Petrus is like, so dead now.

Agreed. If more research was done into it we might find that it has lots of potential, but as of now there's just not enough resources out there.

    Cubing Never Have I Ever

Never unintentionally. (I have taken many apart though.) NHIE: Stepped on a cube

    Cubing Would You Rather

B, all the way. I'd probably take it apart instantly just to see how it works. WYR: A. Have to eat a 3x3's plastic pieces B. Have to eat a 3x3's screws/springs

Thanks! Your suggestions are very helpful. For step two, how would you do EO if the edge in the place mentioned is flipped (is there an EO algorithm I don't know about?) Thanks again!
