It literally doesn't matter. Saying he doesn't suck is gonna make him feel content where he is so he won't want to get faster. I'm just trying to help by telling the truth. Both those 2x2s aren't as good as mgc or valk, which are pretty cheap anyway

rapid improvement is pretty easy for 2x2. Also, the time he has been cubing doesnt matter at all. He still sorta sucks, but that WILL change if he continues, and that should serve as motivation.

To me, yes. To others, maybe not. Sucking is subjective, and you cant really ask anyone if you suck, because their opinion is gonna be different.

Either 2x2 or clock. 2x2 is literally just turning fast, looking ahead, and learning algs. Clock is planning more of your solve in inspection, and turning faster. Either one has reasonable answers to why they are the easiest event to get good at.

Definitely. In the past, I've said the x is bad, but its league's ahead of the sm. Center twisting is where during solves the center twists and it just stops you from being able to turn.
