    [Help Thread] Puzzle Choice Thread

I remember answering this exact same question a few months ago so I hope you don't mind but I just copied and pasted my answer here. Hope it helps. No, there is also a CubeTwist clock as well as the Rubik's brand clock but the CubeTwist and LingAo are virtually the same. If you are looking for...

    What was your first speedcube?

My first speedcube was a Type A. Followed by Cube4You, Alpha V, Zhanchi, and currently the mini Maru CX3.

    Mini 60mm Aosu

Think about it this way, it's like the difference between a 57mm 3x3 cube and 55mm 3x3 cube. That 2mm difference is a huge difference, especially for those of us with smaller hands. I just pre-ordered mine yesterday and can't wait for it to arrive!

    World Championship 2015 - São Paulo, Brazil - July 17-19, 2015

Not too thrilled about it being in Brazil but my boyfriend says we can most likely go so I guess we will see those of you going in Brazil next year.

Are you planning on using this cube as your main 2-handed 3x3 or for OH? If you are planning on using it for 2-handed I would highly recommend against it. The 42mm Zhanchi although a good cube is very, very small. I myself have small hands (roughly 2.5 wide and 5.5 at the longest point) and the...

    The One-Answer Question Thread [closed]

The Aurora is cheap, smooth, and fast. I don't see how it isn't a good beginner cube? And by your definition it would be if someone chose it as their beginner cube.

    The One-Answer Question Thread [closed]

The SuLong is the slowest of the YJ 3x3s but that doesn't mean it isn't a good cube. Another good beginner cube would probably be the ShengShou Aurora but if you are looking for a faster cube then you may like the YJ YuLong.

Keep Austin Weird 2014! (Austin, TX)

Okay seeing as this is only a few days away I guess it's a good time to list my goals (modified slightly from my original ones to account for the fact that I'm recovering from a broken wrist :p): 2x2: Sub-4 Single/Sub-6 average 3x3: Sub-15 Single/Sub-18 Average and make round 2 6x6...

    [Help Thread] Sticker thread

The pieces on the AoFu are smaller than the ones on the V-Cube (and I'm assuming it's the same for the knock-offs) so technically yes the stickers will fit but they will be somewhat smaller than the ones that are currently on your puzzle.

[Help Thread] Is my cube / puzzle a dud?

Tensions vary in cubes. It just depends on personal preference. I prefer very loose cubes so I tension all my cubes to be looser. Some people like their cubes tighter so they tighten them. I always tension my cubes out of the box because they rarely, if ever, come properly tensioned since most...

Sure, no problem. No I've never had an issue with stripped screws with MoYu cubes, I have with ShengShou cubes, but it is a good idea to have extras just in case (especially because hardware sets are so cheap however I doubt you will ever need it).

    [Help Thread] Puzzle Choice Thread

That is a tough choice because both are good 3x3s. I personally prefer the WeiLong over the AoLong because I find the later sort of sluggish and it just doesn't suit my turning style. I think the WeiLong is more stable and smoother as well as faster. I would recommend the WeiLong for you. One...

    The One-Answer Question Thread [closed]

I'm pretty sure that imo stands for in my opinion. Personally I think the ss5 is better than the V5 but I never really broke in my v5. Regardless, the ss 5x5 is still a good 5x5 if not the best option on the market right now. But you may want to hold off buying a new 5x5 for now because MoYu...

    [Help Thread] Puzzle Choice Thread

What Hypocrism said is true. For the most part big cubes are more of a display item than anything else. My big cubes are usually scrambled and I gradually solve them over time. Like if I am working on a paper or a program I might take little breaks here and there and maybe solve a center or two...

My hands are somewhat smaller and this puzzle fits fine in my hands, it's basically the same size as the mini ShengShou.

I'm not really a big fan of ChiLong, maybe because I've been using a YuLong for so long. But I find the ChiLong somewhat sluggish. I could never quite get mine to turn to my liking and I kind of view the YuLong as the improved version of it anyway. Just my opinion :)

The best cube under $10 is the YJ YuLong. It's fast, it never pops, it's kind of clicky but has good turning, and overall a great cube. I've only had mine for a few months but it feels very durable to me. The stickers are still in great condition even though I use it a lot (pretty much everyday)...

    [Help Thread] 4x4 Discussion

You just learned how to solve a 4x4. Just get comfortable solving it before you worry about speed. Speed comes with time. Your times will improve overtime if you practice but not overnight. Just practice. Once you average around 2:30ish (just an estimate) then you could look into learning an...
