What has happened in the last 3 years?

Ooh, I guess the WCA has changed their mind (I remember them being allowed for BLD, then being disallowed completely, now they're allowed). Are we doing times to 3 d.p. now, or still truncating them to 2 with the Pro stackmat timer? Cubes4Speed are not shipping in Europe :( Prices still seem...

What has happened in the last 3 years?

Cyclone Boys; I remember those sort of, I don't think that they were that big though a few years ago. I'm pretty sure a friend of mine has their 2x2 (the stickerless one, I guess still banned in competition?) I vaguely remember Dayan's 2x2 coming out and it being good, my Lubix WitTwo is still...

What has happened in the last 3 years?

So, I've been away from speedcubing for about 2½ years now, for many reasons (the main ones being college, and me deciding to get more into chess). A few friends at college started speedcubing, and so I've returned to cubing a bit because of that. But I have no idea what has happened over the...

You guys are faster than I remember... Maybe after these years of not practising I should start again :p And I never got the hang of blindfold... Maybe it would be a cool party trick to have.

    Christmas cubes

I got an X-Cube and a Rubik's jigsaw puzzle. For the puzzle, there's two different cubes but the pieces are together. It can be a nightmare when you mix up two very similar pieces. :D

I saw that and read it as 'Fischer Cube'. I guess I've been playing too much chess recently... :p

Wow, you're not far behind me now! Especially single; 0.13 difference now! I need to get back into cubing; I stopped for exams and then I started playing chess.

I take a break from cubing (mainly for exams and some chess, but not at the same time :p) and you've nearly caught up with me. I need to practice more... And 5x5? I never learn't to completely solve that (can do all but last few edge pairings).

    2014 FIFA World Cup

No wonder Neymar broke his back... he was carrying the entire Brazil team! Also, I'm going for a Germany-Netherlands final with Germany winning 2-1.

I've only just started solving again, but I think that a break now and again can really help; I didn't solve much for about a month or two around the start of last year, and when I got back into solving I had a slight decrease in times. I've had a similar decrease in times in the past two or...

    2014 FIFA World Cup

And bad luck if you're England. At least we didn't get knocked out on penalties!

    Indian Premier League (IPL)

MS Dhoni said quite a funny quote about that. When asked how the CSK players would ensure a clean IPL this year, he replied "We will try the laundry. That's good, will keep us clean". Why? Also, great piece on ESPNcricinfo: http://www.espncricinfo.com/blogs/content/story/738065.html

    Indian Premier League (IPL)

Anybody watching it today or at any point? Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore should be a good game; interesting to see who plays better out of Pietersen or Gayle. The game's also being streamed live on YouTube on India Times' channel...

Then I can get co-ordinates of my location, send it to as many people as I can, and then get rescued. Then I have all my cubes, power from the grid and my chair. Problem solved.

    Marcel's Bar Comp Round 6 Average: 6.22 5.81, (3.75), 6.22, 5.77, 5.19, 5.38, 7.91, 6.47, 7.42, 5.97, 6.10, (11.52) I'm doing EOL+1 (EO-Line + 1x2x2 block). As a comparison, Cross+1 is 6 pieces; while EOL+1 is 5 pieces and orienting all the other edges (6 on average); so I'm technically...

    Vote for Speedcubing in Quizup!

Yes; but records are more likely to change than regulations. We could also have questions on previous WR's (first holder, first sub-x, interesting stats etc.). Also, questions on brands of cubes, puzzle theory, methods, famous cubers and so on.
