How many "Slow Solves" should I do?

You need to do 240 slow solves a week... ...sorry, just being sarcastic. There is no number, really. Don't see it as a chore. Just enjoy cubing. Do as many slow solves as you want. The next day do whatever, fast solves, slow solves, etc. When you do slow solves, think about the pieces, look...

Proposal: Should the WCA be responsible for lost/damaged puzzles during an attempt?

You don't mention what you mean by "responsible". Is it that the organizers should go and catch the thief? Or the WCA should write you a check? Or a written apology?

Newbie question: Recently in a competition I heard someone say: Using the inverse of the scramble is not allowed because of the rule: "E2e) The competitor's solution must not be directly derived from any part of the scrambling algorithm. Penalty: disqualification of the attempt (DNF)." For...

The rule is fine as it is. It doesn't say you have to own the cube, just provide it.

    [Help Thread] Lookahead Discussion

Sometimes I see two F2L pairs and choose to do the easiest. I bet better cubers can do more than that. Remember that an algorithm with lower move count doesn't necessarily means it is better or faster. Some of them have a high movecount but are pretty ergonomic and fast.

    TPS and the brain

I guess it all depends on WHEN these pianists learned to play. If they started when children, then their brain is made to play, but if they started older, they will have great difficulty to keep up when old.

One-answer threads - what to do about them?

If a question is not answered in the one answer thread, is because nobody knows, or because nobody cares. In that case, the OP is the one to blame.

"Why not produce it like this in the first place?"

I guess companies don't sell "modded" cubes because their main market is not speedcubers. And sometimes, those mods provoque pops in normal people's hands.
