Me and JDAW6 are racing to sub-11 3x3 ao100, so here is where the race of the century will be tracked.

So I'm most likely going to a comp at the end of December that has 3x3, 3BLD, Megaminx, Pyraminx, and Skewb. I have some things to learn to drop my times and idk if I should learn all of them or in what order I should learn them in a way that is optimal to drop times on all events.

So I took apart my 4x4 since it kept jamming and wouldn't turn on one side, and I found a piece that looks like it partially broke. Does this piece actually affect turning or was something else wrong? Here's a pic:
