Today I bought the YJ MGC 4x4 from a competition (the sponsors had put a shop at the comp) and when I opened it, the outer layers were fine but the inner layers were locking up a lot. I also lubed it with weight 1. So is there any way to make the inner layers as smooth as the outer layers or...

Does anyone think a person averaging 12 seconds can win a local comp? I personally think the scope is way higher now that people averaging 8 and 9 seconds usually win comps. I think if this continues, it will be very hard for newer cubers averaging 12 and when they reach the average of 8...
