[Unofficial] Ravi Fernando: 3x3 solve in 4-ball juggling pattern

I'm pretty sure this is the first time that this has been done. Unfortunately, the cube isn't quite visible when I'm actually doing moves here, but I'm happy enough that I got it at all. Time is about 5:37. Brest, you're welcome to have a go if you feel up to it.

[Unofficial] Ravi Fernando - 3x3 while juggling, OH (partial video)

I did this after the awards ceremony at Berkeley Winter. It was hard. fG9SG6jCRUs Thanks to Nan Ma for filming. This was the first time I've even completed a solve while juggling OH, so I might try to make an unabridged video later, perhaps of a less frantic-looking attempt.

Possible orders of Rubik's Cube positions

A year or two ago, I set out to calculate with pencil and paper the set of all possible orders* of Rubik's Cube positions, combined with the number of positions with each order. The calculation isn't horribly difficult from a theoretical standpoint (SPOILER: details listed below), but my...

The Statistical Case for Combined Finals

I have long been of the opinion that a five-solve trimmed average measures a speedcuber’s skill too unreliably to decide the winner of a competition. Recent events have shown this observation to be correct, especially after the tightening of the top group of competitors that has taken place...

    NxN corner rotation puzzle

I was thinking about a new (as far as I know; correct me if you've seen it before) type of flat puzzle yesterday, and it looks quite interesting after studying it for a while. Here's the simplest version of the puzzle: You have a 3x3 square, and the 2x2 ("postage stamp") corners of the square...

    How old are you?

Have you ever wondered who another speedcuber is? Have you ever seen my name and decided that I'm an eighty-year-old woman? This poll is to help us with these problems.

    Confusing stuff

This is a place to put things that are really, really, really, really, really, really confusing. Here are a few examples: "That that that is that is that that is is is not, but that that that is is is that that is is is." - a true statement, invented by yours truly :D "Eschew obfuscation." -...
