Plan out as much as you can in inspec and track the pieces you want to solve next, then keep watching for new pieces as you solve those.

Just try not to break the flow of solving and looking for new pieces, if you solve some and don't see any new cases immediately then you will pause and have to think about your next couple pieces, which will mean you will have a harder time looking ahead for the next ones after that.
