You don't have to, but you should. Judging and running is really easy, and they'll explain how to do it. Scrambling is also not too hard, but you should be relatively experienced so that you can scramble quickly and accurately. You won't be assigned to scramble if it's your first comp

Ok ! Im fine with the Judging, just not sure sure on the running and scrambling part (scrambling only because im particularly participating in a certain 12 sided rubiks cube with the shape of a dodecahedron that has the worst scrambling notation ever)

Also at the end you said I wont have to scramble for first comp, js wondering does that mean I will have to judge and run as well ?
Either way, i should be fine.

You might be assigned to judge and run, but it's not strict and you're expected to but don't really have to. I would recommend seeing where they need volunteers and just going there, rather than following your assigned tasks. Also for scrambling you definitely don't have to scramble and shouldn't scramble if you're not comfortable with it
