(continued) But speaking up, making yourself heard on a literal and spiritual level, can put yourself in the driver's seat of your own self-determined fate, whether it be the double-edged sword of being facetious and disrespectful or boosting your own central strength by speaking your mind against injustice.

My mother has spent years working in diversity+equity+inclusion as her full-time job, only recently stopping to become a filmmaker, and has a degree in psychology. My father has a degree in conflict mediation. But okay, you're the expert, I guess.

Intention versus impact is a big factor in how effective your words are. For example, take some of your offhand comments that get a lot of mehs. Though your intention may have just to be funny and sarcastic, the impact you sometimes leave can be an indication of hostility, insincerity, and insensitivity. I believe in calm, anti-inflammatory interactions to stand up for oneself over becoming defensive and unruly.

I can make sarcastic off hand comments, people would meh. If someone like prostar made a sarcastic offhand comment, people would like. People just think that I’m a bad person, bully and so much more.

I'm not even gonna entertain victimizing yourself with any sort of sympathy. You need to stop playing the victim and just realize when you mess up. I genuinely believe you would gain much more respect by acknowledging whenever you make a mistake.
