And here we go with the American and British English debate...

In Dutch we also use 'film' for a movie, but it's funny how in English, the word film sounds weird to me when used in the meaning of 'movie', even though it'd be completely normal in Dutch. In English, the word film instantly makes me think of a thin layer of stuff around something. I guess my English has been Americanized.

As an American, atleast for me, film isn’t weird when talking about a movie. CINEMA ON THE OTHER HAND
