What would be funny is if you study in secret and then very obviously cube so that your dad knows that you are cubing, and then when you get a really good test result, you could remind him that he said "Keep cubing and you will see what happens".

even if it’s passing you should try to do better

but yay you got them back!!

maybe try to study more so that your dad will be more lenient in letting u keep them

I'm sure your father wants the best for you and maybe he thinks you are just doing too much of it.
I don't think it is a good idea to tell him that but I think it is much better to cube than to scroll for hours on stupid social networks!
You are:
- learning stuff
- progressing in something, and may have to be organized to do so
- developing manual ability/control

Sounds like something I would do. One time I pulled an all-nighter when my dad found me playing with my cubes in my room a little past bedtime. I was originally gonna put them away and go to sleep, but I had to make sure he would never do that again.

My friends at school tell me this all the time and I don’t give a crap cuz they are all pretty useless themselves
