    F' U' B2 U' B2 L2 F2 D2 B2 R2 D' U R' B U2 L D' F2 D2 B R' Can anyone find a good solution with this scramble? The best I could find was a 7 move 2x2 and 12 move 2x2x3, and nothing good after that.

Cool things that happened during a solve

This has happened to me a few times, but when I'm about to do my last slot, I notice I have a 2x2 block on the top. I'll them switch my bottom have color (I'm Cn), do the last layer, and then finish the solve. It's usually slower, but it's always fun.

    R U R' y' R' U' R U R2 F R F' R. I think this alg is better. It's just the inverse, but I like this a lot, plus no L moves.

    [Unofficial] 10.29 Square-1 avg5 with 6.70 single!

Don't, it's not worth it imo. If I remember correctly, someone did some math in the sq1 help thread that proved that CP into ep is about 1 slice more efficient. This is also not taking into account block preservation, which should drop the movecount even more. As long as you preserve blocks...

    I met Tyson Mao

He had the same piano teacher as me, and my teacher let me meet him once I learned a really hard piece. He then came over, we talked for an hour or so, exchanged emails, and then he gave me a ton of his old puzzles. I told him that basc 6 was coming up, which turned into a hilarious story. They...

    [Help Thread] Square-1 Discussion

So I was average low 12's on sq1, with a pb average of 100 of 12.01. I had been stuck at this for a few weeks or so, and then yesterday, I suddenly got an 11.44 average of 100. So basically, does this happen to anyone else? I've had a few big jumps like this, and this really only happens to me...

[Member Intro] New kid on the block

Welcome to the Forums! A few words of advice. 1. Try to solve with your guhong more than your other puzzles. This will teach you turning accuracy, which will be better in the long run. 2. Read some of the stickied posts, such as the how to practice one. 3.try other methods, such as...

    [Help Thread] Puzzle Choice Thread

Despite what other people have told you, I would get something like a zhanchi. At my last comp, I was watching some of the newer cubers, and their turning was ridiculously rough. I think this is a result of them starting out with the best speedcubes. Trust me, a zhanchi will be better for you in...

    Reproducing an old Meffert's megaminx

Basically, this is more of a fun project, and if it turns out good, great, and if it's horrendous, whatever. Also, I have newer megaminxes, and I don't particularly like the feel of them. And yes, this is just to have piece of mind with my old megaminx

    Reproducing an old Meffert's megaminx

The title says it all: Basically, I have an old unmodded Meffert's megaminx, and I've wanted to make more, just in case I mess up the modding. Basically, I would 3-d scan it, make molds for all the pieces, and then use ABS plastic and remake the whole megaminx. The reason to do this would be...

Since I have no clue how to gen algs, and you obviously do, can you gen me some algs for the W-U and U-W cases? If you can, both even and odd cases because I personally don't like the ones that others have found.

A few things: your recognition needs work. When you're executing your eo alg, you should already have a general idea of what your cp case will be.same with ep. I'm not sure if you're doing this in this video, but block preservation helps so much. This will reduce almost all of your eps to...
