I don't know if this has been proposed before, but if the recognition is worth it, you can conjugate OLL and PLL in CFOP.
Steps:
1. Cross
2. F2L-1
3. 1x1x2 in the U-layer (less moves than last pair)
4. Do an R/R' (depending on the location of the corner and the edge in the pair)
5. OLL
6. PLL...
Ayam is when you set up two pieces at a time to a single 3 style case.
What I proposed is similar: set up two pieces and, and then use one of ~300 5 style cases.
I think I've shared this idea on a discord server before, but thought it would be relevant here.
I feel like conjugated 5-style might be a more feasible approach to solving 4 pieces at a time.
Imagine using conjugates like in ayam/eka to set up a 5 cycle. It would be more like ayam since you...
You can avoid parity since you can just solve the edges while ignoring the corners, and then do the corners (since you are fine with the corners changing since you can see them).
Old Pachmann only has 2 algs and 2 steps (when sighted). I'd say this makes it easier than any other method. All you need to learn how to set up a each piece to the target (which is intuitive).
Yeah, you can also buy a black plastic and a white plastic cube to make 2 of them. There are 2 different layouts of colors, so that is a good way to make both.
I’ve built 2 color cubes, and I have not gotten even close to my 3x3 PB and I’ve done more than 10 attempts. I wouldn’t call it that obvious, if you haven’t solved one before.
