It's a pretty common thing they publish books so they change the size or look of the book series at some point. They've done the same with DVD and bluray sets. I got it from kewbz UK, I'll just ask them about it. EDIT: They answered and apparently the manufacturer just makes the 6x6 like that...

Annoying. It's like when a publisher decides to make a 3rd book of a series smaller or bigger than the first two.

Just got some new cubes... These are all YuXin Little Magic... Why is the 6x6 different from all the others? o_O

Doesn't that mean it needs stronger magnets? The thicker the plastic the further apart the magnets are, thus needing stronger magnets for the same effect. I think I might go with the N48 4x2 and 4x1,5 and experiment with those. Besides the QiYi Warrior W and QiYi Warrior W, which 3x3 would...

No I don't mind, go ahead :) Edit: wouldn't happen with international shipping if shipped in a cardboard box instead of a bubble wrap bag, but I don't intend keeping the boxes anyway so idm. It's interesting how I got the idea of the Megaminx right away, just solving the last 5 corners I hit...

Oh yeah, didn't remember/realize that. I imagine it'd be worse to rotate. But I'm sure making a custom cube like that would be fun. EDIT: Maybe that's where my subconcious got the idea :D

I was sure someone would've thought of it already. If I make one like it myself, I can decide which cube to use thus making it possible for me to choose a better working mechanism. Or to mod a bad mechanism into a better working one. I thought of getting some cheap Rubik's copies 1,70€...
