Can anyone point me to a basic Roux tutorial? I know a beginner method that I learned from DeeDub, but I really need help with the first two blocks. I’m old and stupid so the more basic the better. I don’t know CFOP.

I think we need more information on what you are stuck on. You said you learned the whole “method”. What does that mean? Do you know your letter scheme? Are you having trouble understanding cycles? Do you have the algorithms memorized? Do you not know the first step when you scramble the cube...

Once you are starting to get it, take the cube apart and grab a random piece and see if you can tell what letters it is

It’s strange, I looked at the MGC as recommended, and I see that all the pieces appear to be the same size. I am at work right now so I can’t check, but I feel like the 5x5 I have has smaller inside pieces. I looked back at my cubicle order and I ordered the MGC. I’ll have to check in the morning.

I’m looking for a 5x5 that has bigger pieces. I’m learning 5BLD, and the cube I have, the pieces seem tiny and it’s hard to make sure I’m turning the correct layer. I’m a casual solver so I’m trying to make it as easy on myself as possible. Thanks!

I can see my ranking, but is there a way to find out the total number of rankings? Like I’m 171st for 4bld, which I think is pretty good, but if it’s out of 171, that might change my mind…. 😀

I’m thinking about making my rs3m 2020 into maglevs but I use them for multi BLD and I seem to remember a video where the guy put a bunch next to each other and the cubes repelled each other. Anyone have experience with this? Or if you have two cubes with maglev can you try it? Thanks

Well, that worked, I’m just not sure why it worked. If the memo was just LN, wouldn’t you just execute NL, not N’L’? Like, if I is the inverse of S, how is B the inverse of B? Maybe if I do a bunch more examples, it will start to make sense. But definitely thanks for the help!
