A lot of the time I'm cubing to fill time, walking, on bus etc.
But I just do whatever, music, tv. Unless I'm properly practicing then I only occasionally listen to music.
If I'm blindfold solving I listen to music during memo and turn off for the solve.
:)
Within one school lunchtime I had 4 teachers and 5 friends ALL say that they just peel the stickers off and put them back on... one person is okay for me. But 9 is taking the P**s
A seperate instance I'm walking out of school gates, just finished a solve (whilst the teachers on duty were...
My progression has been.
Rubik's Storebought > Ghosthand G1 > Dayan Guhong > Dayan Zhanchi.
I have to say going through 4 cubes in the space of... about 2 months is probably not too good. but considering I've gone from a 2 minute solver to a sub 45 solver in two months I'd say it goes hand in...
My memorization method is very much "off the cusp" per solve. However I follow a set of guidelines. I label each position on the edges as a letter A-X including the buffer position (therefore I can keep reference wven when changing methods.)
Regularly I use Person action object on a normal...
The idea was not to be spoonfed but to have somewhere directly for people like myself to find the bld experts to pm. I am relatively new to the forums and therefore know nothing of the people whom do different things. In terms of my help even just a blindfold solver who I can talk to regularly...
Greetings all Blindsolvers.
Blindsolving is a difficult task and has always been high on my priorities to learn however i couldn't find the direct support to do so. I thought a place in the forums directly formed for finding a mentor / student for blindsolving would not only help the community...
A service to ordered cubes would be good, rather than send in. We say buy a lubrication service with a new cube from the site and you then lubricate that order for sending. Along those lines. But yeah good idea.
Some great suggestions here! This is all good. I have to say the post from cmhardw is very useful. I think the failure zone technique will be really effective!
Now before I annoy anyone this is not a thread about "what method should I choose?" I would like to gather peoples ideas on how to actually practice memorization. Primarily with visual and tapping for corners and lettered edges with stories. Now I find it difficult to break into new cycles and...
I am happy to buy cubes when I have the cash. Which hopefully is soon after I have finished this painting job.
I am definitely gonna be a long term buyer if you keep your prices reasonable etc.
I can't really recommend good brands, just follow these guy's advice :D
YES PLEASE I'D LOVE YOU!!! I hate shipping times and prices. I promise I would buy if you set up! :)
Plus! I am a new cuber, so I need to buy myself a hellalot more ;)
Sounds good, do corners need a letter/number for each sticker then too?
I may just steal a labelling method that I find easy from some of the tutorials kicking round.
Sounds Good 5BLD, I am scrapping my M2 notes because It's hurting my head. I couldn't do it looking. never mind starting to memorise. So Full Pochmanns it is. I can do the corners of Old pochmann now. Don't know whether it's a good thing to practice just memorising and doing corners and edges...
