I've fixed my issue by completely disabling all microphone tweaks etc that my drivers do by default, though now I'm experiencing the exact issue that you're also having. I'm also just resetting my timer, as I can't figure out why its happening. It's likely due to a faulty cable.

I started speedsolving in 2015 but quit midway through 2016, with an average of ~20 and a pb of 12.60. After seeing that a competition is being held in my hometown of Lincoln in April I decided to start again. I’m now sub-19 and my PB is down to 11.14. I’m quicker than ever on every event!

I generally prefer stickerless for big cubes and I've never bothered swapping stickers on others. I'm quite fond of the factory stickers of most manufacturers but Christ Dayan's shades were horrendous.
