    [Help Thread] 2x2 Discussion

It's unclear what you're asking here but my guess is you meant to complete an orange layer, and used the R2 U' R2 which does a face instead. See qwr's message above for a layer solution. Also, to convert this to a layer, you can use R2 U R' F R F' U' R' or any LEG-1 alg that you prefer...

Lol yeah I've not done TCLL- in ages and it'll probably be longer still. On the other side we do have fairly optimised TTCLL+- algs now.

Nevan J's Road to Square-1 NR (achieved, 03/22/2025)

Many would be good, but I would refer to this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OFXakCV85Mp2zsQBXMxiMX9a506JeAcLnUXZr8FgXAY/edit?usp=drivesdk It contains the most comprehensive list of 2x2 algs currently

It's more of a regrip thing. A lot more cases flow smoothly into R' U' R' F R F' U R. Tbh just learn the 4 major algs for this case (they're easily memorisable) and in each scenario pick the one you think you can do faster.

    Hiring 2x2 Speedcube Coach

Hey! I'd be keen to help you learn more about 2x2. I have experience with EG, LEG-1 and a bit of TCLL. I can definitely help with AUF recognition. My EG layers are pretty good - I expect CLL will be a little different but with a lot of crossover. If you're interested send me a message and we...

    Jaymer's 2x2 Progression Thread

Update: Haven't put much time into TCLL- lately but jumped back on it today. Spaceship cases are still a bit rough in my memory but they'll get there. Cases to learn (20/43): Hammer Spaceship Stollery Pinwheel Two-face Turtle Poser Gun I also found some dynamite spaceship algs: By case...

    Jaymer's 2x2 Progression Thread

I update Will's Best 2x2 Algs sheet so they can be found there. I don't normally announce new algs (considering maybe announcing them here). Usually the 1st and 2nd lines for each case are the best, but it's always a WIP :) Thanks! I appreciate it :D

    Jaymer's 2x2 Progression Thread

I've been very avid for 2x2 for a while but my progress is always quite sporadic. Thought I'd make a progression thread as a way to document progress and hopefully keep me focused. Currently I'm working on learning TCLL- , but it's a bit all over the place as I'm learning and genning algs at...

    Race to Sub-x on 2x2 (2022)

    My nerves really failed this one. 2.53 = 2.12, 1.77, (1.61), 2.62, 2.19, 2.46, 3.82, 2.79, (6.11), 2.78, 2.38, 2.34 Also I realised at the end I had missed 2 scrambles so I went through them until I saw ones I didn't recognise - not sure if they were the missed scrambles though :( Might write...

    Probability Thread

You can't simply divide by 5 for a megaminx as some permutation cases can occur by a multiple other than 5. I've explained how to derive megaminx permutation in a post a month earlier in this thread. See here:
