Stopped cubing about March-April of last year. When I picked it back up over the summer I sucked. I found it hard to find time to practice since then, so with just a few solves a few days per week, I'm finally back.

One of the reasons I stopped frequenting SS. Then I come back for a day and there's already another cheating incident.

The v2 is certainly worth it. The v1 pops more, and feels blockier. The v2 is more stable and comes with torps, so it can handle corner-cutting better. I believe they rounded off quite a few edges throughout the cube for the v2. If you're still stuck, check out youtube. I'm sure there are tons...

He wouldn't have to prepare a full 5x5x5 solve if he wanted to fake it. At least, if I wanted to fake a 5x5x5 solve, I'd just prepare up until a few edges at most. That'd make it fast enough, and I wouldn't need to memorize the whole solve.
