Considering the closest delegates are like 3-4 hours away. I’d say the fact TN has more than 1 comp a year is good. Many states have 0 per year.

Hi- Most Georgia competitions happen around Atlanta (within a 45 min drive from the city). There were 7 in 2019. Plus 2 FMC only competitions. The southeast had 28 competitions last year (plus 2 FMC comps). 7 in GA, 8 in NC, 3 in TN, and 10 in FL. I'd say we're doing a pretty good job having...

We had 10 competitions in 2019 and 9 in 2018. We have a solid community with regular competitions. Most competitions fill up with a waitlist. If it weren't for COVID-19 we would have had about the same number this year including a state championship. In a state our size, I'd say we're doing...

We saw no possible way to safely host an event of this size. We are hoping to have a smaller local competition in NC before the end of 2020 where we can have a smaller competitor limit.

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to cancel North Carolina Championship 2020. With the global COVID-19 pandemic being unpredictable, we do not feel that having such a large competition is responsible or worth the risk. We know this measure may seem drastic since the competition is not...

It’s pretty typical to “get worse” right after learning a new alg set as your recognition times and execution is slow since your just learned it. Give yourself some time and you’ll see your times drop.

Delegates are supposed to verify Nationality at your first competition. Plan to bring some form of identification, especially if your comp is outside the US or you have a different nationality than the country the comp is in.

This is generally not a good idea. Just having friends of the Organizer help usually makes for a poor staff. You want people who actually know how to run a competition to help you. I generally do not allow the organizers I work with to allow friends on staff (with waived registration fee) if...
