    WCA Scores App

Wow, this is a really solid app. Nice work! Code looks good too. Just curious, have you done Android development before? How long did this app take to write?

The L.A. BEAST does the cube!

If you guys haven't already, definitely check out some of his other videos because they're hilariously ridiculous. This guy is insane. A few of my personal favorites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS6_hme7GdA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMjgaa5j_LE...

    Any cubers in Sunnyvale CA?

I live in West San Jose and got all excited when I saw the title of this post, only to find that I fall way outside your specified age range (I'm 22). SORRY

Should speed define who is "good" at cubing?

hahaha Noah you're awesome :-) And just to make this post worthwhile, I'll throw my opinion out there. This discussion is about what being "good at cubing" comprises. There are two salient parts of that phrase: "good" and "cubing". I would consider the "cubing" part to cover any sort of twisty...

How fast are you with a Rubik's Brand?

It's been a long time since I owned a Rubik's brand, but I did an average of 5 on a dollar store cube, which is definitely worse, a little while ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtroE_Bw6pM

    maru lube on bike chain?

gotcha, thanks. I'm new to this so I figured I'd just start trying things and figure out what works, but at the same time I definitely don't want to do anything that's hard to reverse. I ended up buying some dedicated chain lube... wish me luck.

    maru lube on bike chain?

I remember reading back in the day (before cube-specific lubes such as Maru or Lubix became popular) about people trying bike chain lube in their cubes. I'm wondering whether anybody has tried the opposite; in particular, whether anybody has tried Maru lube on their bike chain. As you might...

    Maru CX3 - New 3x3x3

I got mine today. I don't think there's any noticeable size difference. As for the cube itself, it feels very light and fast, a little bit of clicking when you turn the sides, instead of absolutely smooth like, for example, a Guhong. I personally like this feel a little better, but the timer...

What Do You Do With Your Stickers?

I generally just keep the stickers that came with the cube, except that I like to replace half of the green stickers with a completely different shade of green. Kian caught me and made me replace them at Worlds though, boo.

    US Nationals 2012 (Las Vegas)

wow, what an amazing specimen of woman in that picture at the top!!!!!! on a more serious note, this is one of the most germane and factually accurate news articles about cubing I've ever read. I imagine this is indicative of a higher level of journalism in general at the New York Times than at...
