    Critique my solves (Roux)

I'm sub-14 with roux, so only a second better, but I can point you to Kian's sub x series. In the sub-15 video he uses 50 moves as a benchmark for a 15 second solve. Just from looking at your stats, you could focus on improving movecount, but definitely send a video of you doing solves if you...

    Random Cubing Discussion

I think prediction is already a pretty good term to describe this. Even if you don’t completely know what the next alg will be, you can still predict a few pieces. Do you have other reasons to not use prediction? I don’t see how people using it informally means we need a different special term...

How do I get past frustration

All of the above is good advice. Here’s one strategy that I have to add: At the end of every solve, think back to one thing that you know could have been better. (Could be efficiency or a fingertrick. Anything.) If you can’t remember anything then try focusing more on the next solve. This helps...

I'm staring soccer again and I'm looking to get into disc golf this year. I also just cleaned and lubed my bike for mountain biking hopefully soon.

    Favorite WCA Events

3x3: The most developed event. Has a ton of depth, meaning there are many skills that can be taken to perfection. Most competitive but still most common. Megaminx: Requires three skills almost equally: efficiency, lookahead, and execution. Perfect length. Long enough to require focus and...

New video! | My Youtube Channel Thread

    1. It might be unoriginal, but I don’t think it’s bland. I think in a way your content can determine whether or not people think of your name as bland. 2. I don’t believe most people think that way but even if they did, they could see the high quality content and wouldn’t associate it with low...

[Help Thread] F2L Discussion and Help

Yeah learning full PLL would be a great way to improve at this point, as well as learning new F2L cases. These can also be worked on simultaneously and it doesn’t really matter which you focus on first.

    Alex's Progression Thread

That is indeed how I am doing eido F'. I am talking about my left middle finger holding the back, or not holding the back. My point is, I usually do left index F' better when my left middle is not supporting the back. Therefore it has everything to do with how we grip the cube. fun at the joy...

    Alex's Progression Thread

I agree with this. In fact, I would rather not have left middle in the back, because it makes my left index have to reach farther to do the F'. I think the difference here is explained by the way each of us hold the cube. I believe you guys are both wrong... F' with thumb doesn't require much...
