Some hard positions for face-turning octahedron puzzle

I'm afraid I gave you a wrong info; it was a typo. The position is 18 ftm long. https://alpha.twizzle.net/edit/?puzzle=fto&alg=U+F+BL%27+U+F+BL%27+U+F+R+BL%27+L+B%27+R+L+B%27+R+L+B%27

Some hard positions for face-turning octahedron puzzle

Yes, but not only. The center-only superflip equivalent position("tri_adj") is known to be length-21 a 18 mover. Now added Twizzle links. :)

Some hard positions for face-turning octahedron puzzle

Here are some hard positions for face-turning octahedron puzzle (or "FTO"), searched from this February to July. Below are length-23 positions found so far, for normal(pseudo) FTO configuration (=centers on a same face can be mixed)...

    4-layered tetrahedron puzzle

I guess you guys are all talking about the top-left one in the image. Master pyraminx has 13 pieces (w/o tips). The one I drew has 16 pieces. Maybe it's due to some mobile layout things. I'll edit and reupload the image to only show you the exact one.

Are there any puzzles with the properties shown at the bottom of the image? (Sorry for the cursed mspaint thing but you'll get the idea.)

    Blindsolving Discussion and Help

Thank you, this is gonna work well for me. In execution, the method you've mentioned seems to work only for M2/R2. How do people solve them in 3-style? Just doing setup+alg?

    Blindsolving Discussion and Help

Question: How can I remember orientations (like corner twists or edge flip) with letter pairs method for long time? By tapping stickers, it's not that hard to remember when there're less than 5 cubes, but it doesn't really work when there are 20~30 or more cubes. In addition, for edges, you only...

Adaptation of Roux/Petrus method for 4x4 (with no/least reduction)

Here, is my recent attempt to adapt Roux/Petrus method for 4x4. I tried not to do reduction as far as I could, and the results are the below: - Roux for 4x4 ("R4" or whatever) 1. Build 2 opposite centers. (F2Ce) 2. Build 1x3x4 block on left. 3. Build 1x3x3 block on right. 4. Build 2x3x4 block...
