    Block Trainers That Aren't CubeGrass?

So basically, I'm trying to find any block trainers that aren't cubegrass for a few reasons, in regards to Petrus blocks. It has 222 and 322 expansion, but unfortunately, the 222 is built in UFR which is a horrible place, and it also doesn't have anything for direct solving the 322. If there...

    Nope that's outdated.

    A Comprehensive Guide to Petrus

https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/how-to-get-faster-using-the-petrus-method.66235/ Old guide of mine, but still relevant given the post I'd say.

    A Comprehensive Guide to Petrus

Hey good stuff so far! I took a break from cubing for a bit and am getting back into it, currently around 10.5 with petrus, was high 8/low 9 when I quit. I'd be happy to help out if you want.

    My General Cubing Progress

COLL isn't just important, it is damn near mandatory for ZBLL. COLL is quite literally how you recognize your ZBLL's and tell the difference between some of them, and whether you like it or not, the 42 COLL algs are all ZBLL's themselves, so you're going to learn them anyway whether you want to...

    My General Cubing Progress

Hey! So I'm pretty late to the party on this thread, but I was learning ZBLL about a year ago, and had a little over half done when I quit cubing because I didn't have the motivation, time, blah blah blah. anyway, if you're planning on learning ZBLL, definitely make sure you know COLL, as COLL...

My Quest for Sub 8 Petrus

There are no reasons. He seems to not know what he is talking about. It will probably have something to do with certain COLL's being slower than the OLL, and while that may be true, the skip chance, less resulting algs as well as them being faster, far outweighs those maybe 5 algs.

Petrus is like, so dead now.

Blind spots here doesn't mean pieces you can't actually see, but rather pieces you can't see and don't know what's there. Just because I can't SEE BD when I solve roux, doesn't mean I don't keep track of what's there. Just because I don't SEE what's in BR/BL when solving with CFOP doesn't mean I...

My Quest for Sub 8 Petrus

Please don't listen to tx789, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. COLL/EPLL is leagues better than OLL/PLL especially in methods with edges oriented such as Petrus or ZZ. Similarly, learning COLL/EPLL will be your best bet to finishing ZBLL as fast as possible, assuming that is your end...

Petrus is like, so dead now.

So here's one thing right. "Poor turning ergnomics" In what world, does Petrus have bad ergonomics? Your 2x2? Yeah same movegroup as cross and typically less moves if CN. 3x2x2? RUF(DLM can be used on a case by case basis) That's the same movegroup as CFOP's F2L. EO? RULF(M) That's not a bad...

My Quest for Sub 8 Petrus

This was just an AO5 I did like as soon as I woke up and I'm also very sick, and out of practice so these probably aren't the best splits, but this is about where mine are. The splits are 1/2/3/4/5 = 2x2/3x2x2/EO/F2L/LL. Also no clue why this looks bolded on my end

Petrus is like, so dead now.

Wow. Lots of misinformation in here about Petrus, at least from what I know. For reference, I quit cubing for about a year around this time last year, and at the time was around 9.5 for my global average, and I used Petrus. Petrus isn't fast. But neither are CFOP, Roux, ZZ, etc. The reason being...

My Quest for Sub 8 Petrus

I believe the guide says something like "...and expand in a total of 6 seconds..." so I mean the expansion should only be 2 seconds. The reason being is you should at that speed, you should be able to one-look your 2c2c2 as it is very few moves (I do it in about 5 or 6 on average) so while you...

My Quest for Sub 8 Petrus

Hey there! I currently use Petrus as my main method, and although I took almost a year-long break, I'm still around 11s, though my average before the break was mid-9. I made a guide with Tao Yu on Petrus improvement as well that I'll link at the bottom of this potential wall of text. One of the...
