Hi, I was wondering how many people actually learned one or more of their algorithms while executing/learning one. For an example, I learned my

while learning this algorithm.

Has anyone else ever done this? If so, could you tell us which one(s)? Thanks.

@SuperNerd: The original algorithm was (headlights facing outwards) was r U R' U' r' F R F' and when I was learning it, I acciedently read it as R U R' U' R' F R F'. I eventually figured out the alg was wrong, but after I got the correct one, I noticed that I found another one.

Once I messed up when doing either an H or Z perm, and I figured out how to do a U perm with m slices. Heh, I guess thats the same thing that happened with DaijoCube.

Like others, I discovered a U-perm with the edge cycle in the back (on the bus on a Saturday program) from a Z-perm. I was playing around with slices, then found out what I was doing and found two "new" U perms. I never used them though, and I think I forgot, seeing as I have cubed three times not counting computer cubes in the last two months. I ironically found it about three days or so after reading about Lucas' conjugated F perm.

I messed up a J perm mixing it with an N perm and discovered an R perm (which I use now):

(R U R' F') (U' F R U R' F R' F') (R2 U2 R')

1- J perm beginning
2- N perm stuff

Crazy huh?
Well THAT is f'ing random!!!
A handful of my ZBLLs are actually just conjugated OLLs or PLLs with cancellations.
Damn, you can't be lazy learning these methods...

i learned the same algorithm while figuring out an alternative for R F U R' U' F'.
i also learn all inverses while learning an algorithm.
and a few olls while learning pll
but that's about it.
