I am new here my name is Anthony. I have tried to look for my question but the ebay ad is blocking were i type in the search box and I can't get it to move. My main reason for coming here is of coarse to gain more knowledge and speed at the 3X3X3 Rubik's Cube. I own a 3X3X3, 4X4X4, K-ball,spin out, rubik's snake the knot and some other 3X3X3 cubes and some wooden ones don't know the names. I was wanting to know what kinds of things i should to to start getting faster I can solve my cube in 2 min that is my best time right now that is not fast but I am working on it. I have greased the 3X3X3 that is the main cube I like. Is there a better model of this cube that I should get? what is the difference in a speed cube and a regular one.

Welcome. There isn't really such thing as a "speed cube." There are DIY cubes, which have adjustable tension that most cubes don't have.

Getting faster: Practice. Lots. Also, consider learning a new method such as the Fridrich method, the Roux method, or Petrus, MGLS, VH, ZB, ZZ, Heise, WV, corners first, or whatever fits your style. Info on all of these methods can be found on this site.

Roux may be the best method, but not everyone thinks that. I will continue to use it, but I don't want people using it just because I told them to, I want them to use the best method for them. Plus it's hard to be a rebel if everyone is following you.

Don't get me wrong, Roux is sweet! But it's not for some people.

Well it is worth a try because i am at 2 min so any help is good. also what kind of cubes do you guys use I find that when learning something new it is easy to use what they use and then move on from there.
