Longest Break???

What is your longest time you have gone without cubing??? mine is 2 days so far and i HATE it because i sprained my thumb.
(hopefully my times wont decrease)

A while ago I learned the beginner method. A few months later, I didn't do any cubing for 3 months. When I came back, I had forgetton some of the beginner algorithms, so I started learning the VH method. Since then, I have cubed almost every day.

You mean increase?

My longest break was when i broke my thumb. It was OH for 2 or 3 weeks until i broke my ring finger on my other hand. Not fun.

6 months - i just stopped cubing for no reason
4 months - just stopped for no reason again
3 weeks - hands and wrists were in HORRIBLE condition

I never slowed down despite the breaks

Breaks seem to help me sometimes, but increase my times other times.

My longest break was about 8 years ~2000-2008... I forgot how to solve the dang thing. I think guus takes the cake here though.

12 years. I wanted to see if it is possible to forget how to solve the cube. It wasn't. Fingers still remembered. I started again in october 2008 and PB has improved during that from 1:22 to 0:43

~16 months (may 07-sept 08) - but i could only solve it in around 1min 30sec back then so it shouldnt even count
~1 month (all of november 08)
~3 months (no cubing from january 09 - april 1st 09)

i guess it just got boring

Than about four month in 2005 -carpal tunnel- caused by puzzle building -sanding- in combination with breaking in cubes
