Why i think tingman fell off

This is a pretty controversial take, but

After TheCubicle signed him, he would do more pointless stuff that made him feel like a sellout, for example:

The "I stole my dad's phone to tell you this" video, (iykyk, he deleted it) where tingboy "stole" his dad's phone, and talked about TheCubicle for 3 minutes before tingman yelled "hey, where's my phone?" and then we are supposed to believe tingboy WANTED people to know about code TINGMAN, this feels like a slap in the face of his loyal fans

Also, the Tingman tours, a tour is cool and all of course, but those just feel like a major cash grab, only going to cities everybody knows while there are some cities that are SLIGHTLY less popular than the others (Seattle, anyone?) that he has given no attention to

And of course, his patreon, if he wants, god forbid, anything good linked to his name, guess what its locked behind? A PATREON

Also, the family aspect of it
I know that it's wholesome, but do YOU want to be put in front of a camera and a GAN for YouTube? He is silent on the subject

TLDR I personally think he is now a sellout and is only doing cubing to line his pockets with sweet, sweet money from his countless loyal fans and not some form of recreation

His job is a contet creator. He enjoys it, it seems like his kids enjoy it, and it seems as if he is happy. He has to make money. Everyone does. If he monetizes things more now, its because he has to survive. Cubing and youtube is his job.

But it makes sense that his videos seem different. Cubing content has changed significantly.

I unsubscribed when he put the most important part of his Gan 460 v2 review (how it compares to other 4x4s) on Patreon only. I realize now what the heck was I doing watching that review in the first place? There are some world class big cube solvers that will share their thoughts on new releases, such as Ethan Cho, Mark Zimmermann, Henry Lichner, and more. Plus some more big cube mains like @FatrockCubes that are still way faster than me.

I think it’s actually just better to use AI for something like a poster since what you want people to see is the offer and not the fact that you used AI for a poster

Yeah, I wouldn't put "goodbye" in my thumbnail if I wasn't quitting the channel, I remember in 2022 he made good comp vlogs with his family, maybe they'll be wearing a dailypuzzles shirt (rip) but now his videos are more like TOURS TOURS GOODBYE *one decent video on Easter, I'm not Christian but at least he's not promoting patreon* PATREON PATREON PHIL YU ALL HAIL PHIL YU CAPITALISM CAPITALISM, it just makes a fool out of his fanbase and what it shows is he thinks his fans that saw tingboy in 2022 and liked the content are now just open wallets meant to provide money for him with zero integrity

I will agree with a lot of this. A lot of his videos have been very sporadic and random as if he’s running out of ideas. 2018-2023 Tingman has unfortunately faded and I’m really missing just his challenge videos where he comes up with a random idea like wearing a cube suit and challenging TNL cubing to a race or something. I do believe it’s just the direction that the channel is heading is a probably more suited for the stage of life that he’s in possibly. Olor and Isaac are getting older and I’m assuming possibly less open to just sitting down for 4-5 hours and filming a video like they used to be. I have faith that Tingman will get through this and I see this as sort of a slump that every content creator will have at some point. 2026 may not be the year, but eventually Tingman will come back, I have 100% faith.

His views have actually declined tho, I feel like he should revert to his older style of video, got him a lot more views. But cubing yt has also changed a lot. he needs to make people strive for his content

I do think he has fallen off but it is sort of reasonable considering why.

I used to love his videos, but now... he's changed. You guys have mentioned many of the things that I dislike, and yeah... he's really just view farming rn. It's annoying how his kids are so obviously scripted now.
(This is kinda a minor complaint, but it really ticks me off): He promotes Rubik's puzzles as, "SuCh A gOoD cUbE!! iT iS aMaZiNg!" Bro. It's really not.

Also, if the GAN is free, gimme it (otherwise... nope, gimme an X-Man!)
