Yiheng has a Wikipedia Page!

This could have been a profile post. Do not post threads that have one point and one point only.

I don't understand this comment. I believe this is actually a pretty newsworthy statement, that most people on the forum would find interesting. And there is certainly room here for additional posting, such as congratulations to Yiheng, or discussion about what cubers might deserve a wikipedia page.

I fail to understand how this thread is in any way against the rules of the site.

I also found this the most interesting post of the day so far.

Idk if that fits the guidelines for Wikimedia because it’s probably copyrighted material, if I go to worlds I’ll probably take photos of him and upload it to Wikipedia like I did with max at NAC

Since it seems like you guys are going to be off topic about random arguing, I am going to bring back this thread back on topic like Ahsan did.

I did a few edits to the page as well. I removed information that was too redundant, inaccurate, or subject to frequent change (or put “As of September 2024” if such information could not be removed easily)

To add on, without an account, your IP address will be shown to the public

It's not like that is a big deal though; IP addresses are said to be more precise than they truly are. They are usually accurate enough to pinpoint the city you are in (if it is big enough), but that's all; you can't get an exact address from someone's ip (contrary to popular belief). I've tried locating my house from my ip, but the only "address" I got was that of a highway 30 minutes away from me. Just because someone has your IP address doesn't mean it is the end of the world; little information can be accessed from it other than your ISP (your internet service provider; the company that provides you with internet) and the city you live in.

If you find yourself editing many articles related to cubing and not just this one, I do recommend making a wikipedia account. IP addresses are rarely static, and often change every month or so. Since wikipedia edits from users without accounts are tied to the IP address, having your ip address change means that the history of your previous edits on the previous ip address will be lost. Creating an account will mean that all of your contributions will be tied to you, not just those on your current IP address.

His birthday is December 16, 2013 and mine is December 6, 2012, which means that I am older than him by 12 months and 10 days (my calculations may be wrong please correct me if it is). SHOCKING!!!! (I will end Yiheng's WR streak 7 years from now mark my words)

I'm surprised that they didn't explain what Single and Average means. (It's not a speedsolving wiki page, where everyone knows what that means . . . maybe they can guess what Single means, but Average?)
