HELLO MEMBERS OF SPEEDSOLVING.COM!!!!
I'm back with a new competition! Welcome to Boomerang 10!
My last competition was a no-skill required comp, but this one is different and will require you to be confident your speed solving abilities.
For this reason, there is no prize for this competition as the proof of winning is prize alone.
Let's get on to the rules.
Rules/how this works:
10 members are required for this competition to begin. No more, no less. If you wish to join, you must be confident that you are active on the forums and have schedule suffice.
There is a required type of events that you need to be able to do to join this comp. The following are: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, Megaminx, Pyraminx, 2x2 one handed, 3x3 one handed.
How things will work: as the members join, they will each be given a number (1-10) in the order that they join. Even numbers will be split into one group and odds into another. The even members will be given a Boomerang, and they will use it to choose an odd member as an opponent. This could "come back" to hurt them as the odd opponent chooses one of the given events. In the end, there will be five groups of two. Each group will consist of an odd and an even, and they will compete. This is in a bracket format so one will lose and the other will move on to battle another winner until two are left and two will fight.
How times will be submitted: you will send me your times via DM, PM, M, Convo, or whatever you call it. just no times here. You will submit these along with who your opponent is and what event you are solving. afterwords, I will compare times and eliminate as necessary.
The role of the "Odd": To choose the event and provide scrambles.
The role of the "Even": To choose an odd as an opponent.
In term's of having to quit the comp: members who quit the comp will cause extreme difficulties in organization, but nothing I can't handle their opponent will just race me. Let us all pray that no one quits.
Example of what the Even's post should look like in this thread:
@ person, I choose you to be my opponent. "and whatever else you want to say"
Example of what the Odd's REPLY should look like:
I accept. I choose (e.g. Megaminx). "provide scrambles" "and whatever else you want to say"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay that's It! I know it's a lot, but a good organization must have detailed guidelines so that everyone has an equal experience (except the loser).
See you on the flip side.
WOOHOO
