Hello, I'm making this thread because my little bro wants to start cubing. He wants easy and short algs. So i thought roux would be good but what do you guys think? Btw im a CFOP user myself

you can solve lbl with 4 algs max for last layer (edges orientation, corners orientation, corners permutation, edges permutation)
but you need to know how to solve the first two layers by solving cross, inserting first layer corners then second layer edges

roux is 2 algs for cmll: 1 for corner orientation and 1 for corners permutation max. but you need to now how to solve lse and block building

Have him learn beginners method first. Once he’s comfortable with it and ready to move on, Roux is a great low alg choice.

Only thing with Roux is for some people it’s quite difficult to grasp the concept of blockbuilding. CFOP is a much more natural transition from beginners (hence why it’s more popular). Roux is a great method though, highly recommend!

Edit: also if you can, make sure you learn Roux and understand it first. You have more experience so it’ll be easier for you to learn, and I’m sure he’d like to be able to have you to show him stuff he doesn’t understand

That low alg count is what's paying the rent

jk
my parents pay the rent here

Kian has a tutorial on Roux as a beginner method:
yea have him go with roux for less algs. make sure he understands layer by layer first though
roux should be best for ur lil bro, but make sure he knows beginner method first
Thank you all!!!
