Hi all! Back when I was really into speedcubing, TwistTheWeb was all the rage. I loved that site and was sad to see it shut down. About a year ago, I was spending a lot of time making a modern site that works similarly to it. I put the project aside for a while but figured it would be good to give it some love again and especially to get user feedback!

So here it is, CubeRacer: cuberacer.io!

Some features:
- Real-time solving and messaging
- Public and private rooms
- Session history
- Mobile experience

Please note:
- The site is under active development, there may be bugs, but everything has been well tested

- It is running on a small server and may crash if there is too much activity. I will be paying attention to this and scaling as needed
- Not all WCA puzzles are supported yet, I would have to write a scrambler for Square-1 and Magic Clock in Elixir. If you'd be interested in helping, reach out to me :)
- If you are going to use the site, please stay respectful towards others, as well as the server

I'm looking for feedback!! I want to make the best site possible. Don't hesitate to reply in this thread, message me, email me, or join the Discord I created for this purpose: https://discord.gg/MdCZJHXPJu

Once again, the link is cuberacer.io :)

Oh and a note for computer people, this isn't open source yet because there are some salts and whatnot that I might need to hide. If you're interested in working on the project, let me know and we can figure something out. If you would like to write a Square-1 or Magic Clock scrambler in Elixir, that code is already open source here and I would love your help!

this is sick, im the 4th user ever :D

interesting thanks for creating this and the design is so pleasing!

I did some solves and it's pretty good. maybe implement wca countdown

one problem I faced is that anyone can set next round and sometimes one cuber skip a round, messing with the average

implement new events also would be cool

Vc option would be amazing. Maybe also add more to your profile, because right now it's basicaly a webpage with your name on it.
I think voice would be more complicated to implement
