A shame all that effort was wasted; you clearly misread the title of the class to be “YouTube marketing”

The first thing you need to know about marketing on YouTube is that everything you know about marketing mainstream products either doesn’t apply or needs to be modified. PewDiePies channel, on paper, using traditional marketing knowledge, should not succeed. Neither should xQc succeed on Twitch. And yet they are both immensely popular. On the other hand, there are many other YouTubers with just a few tens of thousands or a hundred thousand (small in their niche) that should theoretically have millions.

Also, at risk of sounding discriminatory, I must say that I don’t tend to take the knowledge of a 13 year old to be expert level unless they have a proven track record of being far above the average intelligence/maturity level for their age.

Either way though, you’re making the wrong base-level assumption by thinking that everything that applies to typical product marketing also applies to growing an internet audience via a platform like YouTube.
they still use the techniques ive talked about, did you miss all of what i said? Not to mention that pretty much everything i have said is paraphrased from marketers who have gained millions of dollars through marketing, but ok,

I suppose all your studying of marketing has left you no time to learn to read the other side’s points instead of making them up. I’m gonna repost what I already said; please actually read it this time :D

again, i was literally quoting millionaire YouTubers with millions of subscribers, do you know how marketing works? marketing is marketing, you still have to sell your product (youtube channel or content)
Building ”tribes” is literally a universal technique, pewdiepie uses tribes, mrbeast uses tribes,

Ah, so now you’re quoting YouTubers apparently. I’d recommend watching an interview with Mr. Beast’s manager (I forget his name) posted recently on the Colin & Samir Show channel. He is the true marketing genius behind it all and very clearly lays out their strategy. You can also listen to interviews with Jimmy himself about it.

However, you’ve botched failed to respond to Swagrid’s very good point, as well as the fact that you’re completely oblivious to what “underrated means” and the original point of the discussion.

I could spend time laying out the flaws in the reasoning of a 13 year old’s marketing plan, but I’m afraid I don’t have the privilege of infinite time so I won’t be doing that today. Please keep the discussion on point and learn definitions to basic English.

jperm is totally overated rn lmao, look at his latest vids, not saying they aren't good.

maybe the only reason you 1 minute average people like him is because of his tutorials, but other people have good tutorials
I feel the same way. His videos used to be pretty fun, but then he just started getting worse and worse. I mean, he's a good cuber and all, and he has a pretty good relationship with SCS, which must be a good thing, but he's just SOOO boring.
i mean he dosen't really make tutorials anymore but he has made so many that hes just my go to
