[WR] Lucas Etter - 4.90 3x3 single!

So this is kind of funny...
I was just thinking about the similarity between the 3x3 and clock record history:
Clock: 5.xx for a long time, 5.25, 4.80, 3.73
3x3: 5.xx for a long time, 5.25, 4.90

inb4 Faz gets a 3.83 next month :P

One day Faz or other fast cuber is gonna get a low 3 with a LL skip at a comp and then WR single history will be over. Of course, we will always have the average :)

So Faz averages low 3's on F2L? And that's even excluding the recognition of the LL-skip...

I have said nothing about average, I'm talking about one lucky solve. And I specifically remember a 6.09 of him were he finished F2L at 2.7 mark so, plenty of time to recog the LL skip, drop the cube and stop the timer with a low 3, yes. And I don't think he's the only one capable of that. That's why I said "or other fast cuber". Drew has a 3.72 on cam and I'm sure that at least a handful of fast cubers have gotten similar times at home at least once. Not very likely that this would happen at a comp but, again, equally unlikely is that the WR gets broken 2 (or 3) times in the same comp, or is it?

If you want someone to get a low 3 on his first LL-skip, he'll need to average low 3's on F2L (well, faster actually).

LL-skip is 1/15552. Getting a low-3 F2L + a LL-skip in one solve is even more unlikely. And of course I do not know what the probability of 2 WR's at one comp is, so that's hard to compare.

Last year I got 31 move solution on official solve with LL skip. Don't tell me that low 3 isn't possible ;) You can also get like 25 move F2L and sune, that's for sure more likely and seems quite possible

at least something like sub 1 is impossible, that should be a safe barrier to keep in mind

Just imagine it... It would be insane, half an Erik!

I had to go back and watch again the video of Erik's 7.08 :)
By the way, I was saying above that we will always have the WR Average and I just was counting the number of sub-Etter Ao5s that Felix has gotten and it's an impressive 13!!! So, the top 10 Averages ever achieved, and then some more, are all from Feliks.
