Hi guys, I'm new here and new to cubing too!

So how old were you when you started cubing? And how long were you cubing before you cosidered yourself a 'speedcuber'?

I picked up my first cube about five weeks ago at the ripe old age of 38! I saw a guy at a place I did a little work at doing the cube and thought to myself, 'I reckon I could do that!' so I got myself one and taught myself what turned out to be the 'beginners method' with a few different algs. Now I'm in the process of figuring out the Fridrich method. I average about 1:30 but I hope that'll improve with practice, practice, practice! I doub't I'll get to the stupid fast speeds, my hands will probably not be able to cope with that :)

I picked my first Dragon Ball cube at the age of about 6 or 7 and made the first layer (it was a super cube so make a face is the same to do a layer, although I only tried to solve the first face).

A lot of time after that, at the age of 17, I saw the beginner method (but not the algoritms) so some days after that I became ill and picked my cube again to solve it. After solving two layers and doing "random" moves to try to solve the last I became well again and learnt the beginner method and I became a cuber.

I started when i was 5 years old. My first cube I have from Hungary from1980 year.
I solved rubik cube boosted since october 2007- age of 32, and my Best Single is 11.97 second, best average is 18.99 second. Now i solved rubik cube 2-3 hour a day.

I started when I was 15, and I'm 17 now.
I thought I was a speedcuber when I was 16 and sub-20.

I think in the next few months, Ill really understand what it means to be a speedcuber.

I too started around that age on my dads cube ussing the sticker removal method. I restarted two months ago at age 26 with the fridrich method :)

12 when I learned how to solve
13 when i got serious. Im still 13 though.
keep practising your F2Ls and you'll hit 14 in no time :)

12. 14 now. I didn't really call myself a speed cuber until recently. And now I only sometimes solve sub-1 minute, but I still say I'm a speed cuber because eventually I will get faster.

I was 31, I am currently 32

I think i've considered myself a speedcuber for almost the entire time since i've always tried to become faster :)
