Hedgeslammer is a move commonly used in F2L pair insertion. It is the inverse of sledgehammer. These moves can also be applied to skewb, and are the base algorithms for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced methods.
The difference between the hedgeslammer and the sledgehammer is that with the sledgehammer, the pair to be inserted is initially above the side (L or R) face, while with the hedgeslammer, the pair is be inserted is above the front (F) face.
