GES, an abbreviation for Gans Elasticity System, is a system in some Gans cubes in which users can easily swap out spring settings with different nuts to adjust the feel of the cube.

Elasticity by GES Type

There are 7 different types of GES nuts, each with a different feeling.

  • Red (S6) has 7.5N of elasticity
  • Orange (S7) has 6.4N of elasticity
  • Clear (S8) has 5.4N of elasticity
  • Yellow (S9) has 4.7N of elasticity
  • Green (G7) has 4.1N of elasticity
  • Blue (G8) has 3.5N of elasticity
  • Purple (G9) has 3N of elasticity
