FECE is a method where the first 2 steps are made to be easy intuitive steps while finishing with algorithms for the final 3 steps. This could be beneficial due to easy planning during inspection of the first three corners and a smooth transition to the algorithmic steps. Might have high TPS but one down side that might exist is the abundance of S and E moves which might be tricky to finger trick but will get better over time.

FECE stands for
F: (First 3 corners/F3C)
E: (E layer)
C: (Corners)
E: (Edges)

Steps

1. Solve the First 3 corners in the D layer while leaving the DFR position unsolved.

2. Solve the E layer

3. Solve the rest of the corners using TCMLL and CMLL

4. B4E, solve the bottom 4 edges

5. ELL

F3C (First 3 Corners)

This step is solved intuitively by placing 3 corners in the DFL, DBL, and DBR positions. This could be done with normal moves or with wide moves if you are fancy. Don’t forget to align the centers

Solve the E layer

This step is also solved intuitively by placing the E layer edges in the UF position and using R U’ R’ or Rw U Rw’ to insert. (Use R U’ R’ if the edge does not match with the center, and use Rw U Rw’ if the edge does match with the center.) Also for the final edge make sure to place the DFR corner in the DFR position while inserting the final edge.

Solve the rest of the corners

This step is where you solve the U layer corners and the DFR corner if twisted. You can use TCMLL and CMLL to solve.

TCMLL+ is where the D layer color is facing towards you

TCMLL- is where the D layer color is facing towards the right

CMLL when the D layer color is facing downwards.

B4E

Solve the bottom 4 edges in 2 steps.
1.Place the D layer edges in the D layer if there are edges in the U layer.
2.And solve the bottom 4 edges using a whole ton of algorithms.

I would also like to thank my friend Inside_Occasion for orignally coming up with the idea.

ELL

Solve the U layer edges in 1 look.

Learning FECE

Beginner FECE:
1.F3C
2.Solve E Layer and treat the last corner and edge like F2L
3.2-Look CMLL, Orient than permute
4.Intuitively do B4E
5.2-Look ELL, Orient than permute

Intermediate FECE:
1.F3C
2.Solve E Layer and treat the last corner and edge like F2L
3.CMLL
4.Intuitively do B4E
5.ELL

Intermediate-Advanced FECE:
1.F3C
2.Solve E layer while placing DFR corner in DFR position
3.CMLL & TCMLL
4.B4E but only the cases where all 4 edges are in D and intuitively place edges in the D layer if any D layer edge is in the U Layer
5.ELL

Standard FECE:
1.F3C
2.Solve E layer while placing DFR corner in DFR position
3.CMLL & TCMLL
4.B4E
5.ELL

Pros

Easy intuitive steps

Can easily inspect the first step in 15 sec, can possibly inspect to the next step

B4E can use algs to solve the edges without intuitive solving it which will be inefficient

Lack of B moves

Mostly rotationless

Cons

B4E recognition is a bit tricky due to scanning the U and D layers

[ELL] algs are not the best

B4E contains a lot of <R,U,L,F,M,S,E> gen algorithms.

S and E moves are hard moves to finger trick especially S2

In the second step, sometimes the E layer edges can be stuck in the D layer and must use M and S moves to get the edge out of the D layer.

Not really speed optimal as of right now

Ergonomics

F3C can use wide moves <R,U,L> or <Rw,Uw,Lw>

E layer mostly <R,U> gen but occasionally must use an S or M move to get an edge out of the D layer.

Corners mostly <R,U,L,D,F> gen

B4E <M,S,E,R,U,L,F,D> gen

[ELL] mostly <M,U> gen but occasionally with the <Rw,R,U,F>

Future Optimizations

Better B4E algorithms

More efficient ways to solve the E layer

Better way to solve B4E

Better TCMLL ergonomics

More variants could be invented to lower down B4E algorithims
