    Put your YouTube Channel here!

Just saw this. My YouTube channel has always been a mixture of cubing with other genres. Lately though, I have no longer been uploading public cubing videos to it, and I have reduced the cubing part of my channel to a 4x4x4 Parity Algorithm Theory playlist. (For those who want to watch videos...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

Well, although I mentioned this earlier, it's not that important. I have already manually counted the moves of all of the algorithms. So they already can see the move count from the wiki page before seeing the animation. I am sure you all have better things to do with your time!

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

Both. It should function the same way Twizzle does. Input the algorithm in SiGN notation, display the alg being executed in SiGN notation. (But of course, do this with Old WCA notation instead.) I have had to display the alg in WCA on the wiki and it be executed in SiGN because I had no...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

Oh, so put the comment before the sequence. Got it! Well, if people want to look to this applet as an authority on SiGN (learn from it), then those types of moves should be implemented sooner or later. BTW, I just made this post on Reddit which shows off this applet. (You of all people knows...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

It appears that the comments show up on the top-left of the animation window after the algorithm has finished being executed. https://animcubejs.cubing.net/sources/codes/enhancement/parameters/cube7.html?edit=0&hint=5&colorscheme=wy2301&repeat=0&speed=25&sign=1&metric=3&move=R{why do I appear...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

I made a new template called Super4. Now the supercube safe algorithms in this section (and this section only for the time being) on the 4x4x4 parity algorithms wiki page will be animated with AnimCubeJS's Gabbasoft 4x4x4 simulator. I noticed that I had to: Manually expand algorithms with...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

The move count display should match what I have for the algorithms on the wiki page. (Block half turn, block quarter turn.) It looks like the metric used is the full turn move (ftm) / plain half turn metric/ outer block turn (OBTM), which is a little too strict for big cubes. I mean, that...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

I don't plan on modifying the code myself. So if I use this, I would like to use it for supercube safe algorithms. But I cannot use it for the majority of algorithms, because of the template. All of the code in the template is a certain number of bytes (of course, right?). But every time that...

AnimCubeJS - an animated web cube

Is there an option for old WCA notation, where lowercase letters = inner slices? That's what I really need. (Would literally half the code on the 4x4x4 parity algorithms wiki page.) That's my biggest problem with Lucas' simulator. He forced everyone to use SiGN, when before it was optional...

    New 4x4x4~NxNxN Method: NJPB Method

    You could use faster Petrus Parity algs. For example, Rw' U R' U2 R U' Rw' U2 Rw' U2 Rw' U' R U2 R' U Rw' or Rw' U' L' U2 L U Rw' U2 Rw' U2 Rw' U L' U2 L U' Rw'.

Don't sweat it. I have had my moments too. (And I'm certainly no "authority" on this topic.) (I still give you an A for effort!)

    Probability Thread

If you look at cube20.org, they calculated 243 (rather than 297). FYI. Also, I'm not sure if you were asking: "How many positions require 2 moves to solve?" OR "How many (non-redundant) algorithms that are 2 moves long are there?" If you were asking question #1, then it's 243. If so, this...

What 4x4 method should I learn?

Yeah, if the goal is just to meet the minimum requirements to get in the competition (and not be a WR champion), those methods will definitely suffice. Although I love K4, I'm not a speedsolver. So to be completely honest, the biggest speed disadvantage of K4 is inner slice move count...

    [Help Thread] 4x4 Discussion

I'm aware of guides like that, but none that is a PDF. But those types of algs are very plentiful. (I could point you to a list with over 350 such algorithms!) I am guessing that the alg you learned is one of the following two (or their inverses): r' U2 l F2 l' F2 r2 U2 r U2 r' U2 F2 r2 F2...

    Theoretical Yau4 variations

I saved Nicholas Ho's old website before it went down. I recently made this PDF (download to enable internal hyperlinks from the table of contents etc.) for those who aren't aware of that variant of Cage.

The Forum Awards: Feedback, Suggestions, and Standards

In my opinion, there should be no reason to vote for the thread being posted in late December. That (as I have been emphasizing almost every year) is how it should be (for the remainder of forum award threads that are to come). With nominations starting in November or October is ridiculous. I...

The New Method / Substep / Concept Idea Thread

Hi everyone. A redditor (from rcubers) has a 3x3x3 method proposal and would like your feedback/thoughts/criticism, etc. about it before he generates algs for it. Of course, if you have an rcubers account and can go reply in that thread, that would be best. But he's okay with just reading the...

The weirdest cubing related "flex" you have

    I've got two. [1] I found a single "edge" flip parity algorithm by hand that was 6 quarter turns shorter (it's 19q) than what was believed to be optimal (by many), 4r' e R 4u' 4f' 2-3u' 4f 4u 4l' 4u 3u 4f' 2-3u' 4f 4u' U' 2-4r x' e' 4r before I knew how the (old, 25q) "standard" algorithm...
