Yusheng Du (杜宇生) is a Chinese speedcuber. At the Wuhu Open 2018, on the 24th November 2018, he set a new Rubik's Cube single World Record of 3.47 seconds. This was 0.75 seconds faster than the previous record of 4.22 seconds by Feliks Zemdegs.
The scramble he received was:
- F U2 L2 B2 F' U L2 U R2 D2 L' B L2 B' R2 U2
and his solution was:
- z y // inspection
- U R2 U' F' L F' U' L' // xxcross
- U' R U R2 U R // 3rd pair
- U2 R' U R // 4th pair
- U R' U' R U' R' U2 R // OLL(CP)
- U // AUF
It was a double x cross, followed by an antisune OLL, with a PLL skip. In effect, it was a Petrus method solve. It was his first official sub 6-second solve.
